
Met Eireann has issued an urgent weather warning ahead of the arrival of Storm Agnes by mid-week.
The warning, which covers counties Carlow, Cork, Dublin, Kerry, Kilkenny, Waterford, Wexford, and Wicklow, will kick in at 7am on Wednesday and remain in place until midnight on Thursday.
According to the national forecaster, many areas around these counties will experience very heavy rain, potentially leading to localized flooding and hazardous driving conditions.
