M1 Abrams tanks have finally arrived in Ukraine, it has been confirmed, and it is expected that these armored beasts will make their battlefield debut quite soon.
Ukrainian engineers are now preparing the machines to be deployed in selected, elite units.
Abrams machines are specifically designed with superior firepower and battlefield survivability in mind. Powered by a powerful Honeywell AGT 1500 gas-turbine engine and equipped with a deadly accurate 120mm gun, these tanks can fire M829A3 armor-piercing rounds with a depleted uranium core that can easily destroy any Russian target at ranges of up to 2,000m.
It is common knowledge that if an Abrams tank commander wants an enemy tank killed, the opponent stands little chance, a lesson that Iraqi tank crews learned the hard way during the Gulf War in the early 1990s. Russian tankers are likely to suffer the same fate at the hands of well-trained, well-equipped, and strong-willed Ukrainian operators.
