Met Eireann has issued an urgent weather warning as heavy rain and thunderstorms are set to batter large areas of Ireland on Sunday.
The warning, which covers counties Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo, Clare, Westmeath, Longford, Cavan, Monaghan, and Donegal, will come into effect at 1pm on Sunday and remain in place until 9pm.
According to the national forecaster, many areas around these counties will experience torrential rain and thunderstorms, which may lead to localized flooding and hazardous driving conditions.
