Met Eireann issues urgent weather warning for 11 counties as severe weather is likely to develop over the coming hours




Met Eireann has issued an urgent weather warning for 11 counties as severe weather is likely to develop over the coming hours.

The warning, which covers counties Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork, Tipperary, and Waterford, will remain in place until 9pm tonight.

According to the national forecaster, many areas around these counties might experience thunderstorms and torrential rain at times, which may cause hazardous driving conditions.
