Met Eireann has issued an urgent weather warning for four counties ahead of miserable conditions.
The Status Yellow warning, which covers counties Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, and Wicklow will kick in at 5pm on Saturday and remain in place until 4am on Sunday morning.
According to the national forecaster, heavy rain is likely to cause flooding across many areas around those counties.
