Met Eireann has issued an urgent weather warning for low temperatures affecting 16 counties.
The warning, which covers the whole of Connacht plus counties Longford, Offaly, and Westmeath, will kick in at 6pm tonight and remain in effect until 10am on Tuesday.
According to the national forecaster, those counties will experience very low temperatures during that period of time, potentially leading to hazardous driving and walking conditions.
