Met Eireann has issued a warning about a ‘blood rain’ event today due to the arrival of a mass of Saharan dust over Ireland.
According to the national forecaster, Irish skies might be tinted in an odd reddish hue, and leave a coating of dust on surfaces.
‘Blood rain’, that is, red-tinted droplets, might also fall across some areas.
People with respiratory illnesses are being warned to be careful today as air quality might be diminished.
