Met Eireann has issued a weather warning for one area before better conditions arrive later in the day.
A Status Yellow Gale Warning will be in place in the area of Slyne Head/Rossan Point to Malin Head until 4am on Saturday morning.
According to the national forecaster though, better weather conditions will develop for most of Ireland towards the afternoon, with temperatures hitting 19-20C at times.
