
Met Eireann have issued a yellow status rainfall warning for six counties.
The warning which came into effect will remain in place until Wednesday afternoon for Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Clare, Cork and Kerry.
The National forecaster say the warning will remain in place until 12pm in Clare, Cork and Kerry.
It will remain in place until 1pm in counties Donegal, Galway and Mayo.
Motorists are being advised to proceed with caution as spot flooding is expected in some places.
