Virgin Atlantic has revealed its design for a supersonic plane designed to fly at three times the speed of sound.
The project, which is in its early stages, aims to build an aircraft capable of flying at speeds of up to 2,300mph. Virgin is teaming up with engine maker Rolls Royce to power the aircraft.
If the design becomes a reality in the future, the craft could fly London to Sydney is about 5h, and London to New York in just over 90 minutes.
