Met Eireann have issued a yellow status warning as storm Dudley is set to hit the country.
In an announcement the national forecaster said the warning will come into effect at 12pm on Wednesday and will remain in place until 12pm Thursday.
Met Eireann say winds are expected to reach between 50-65km, with gusts of 80-110km.
The warning will apply to the entire country.
