Two Status Yellow weather warnings remain in place, as Ireland’s water reserves begin to dry up.
The first warning refers to ‘drought, or near-drought’ conditions as there is little or no rain in sight over the next few days. It will remain in place until July 6.
A second warning for excessive heat is in place for Munster and Leinster, as temperatures surpassing 27C are predicted.
A number of water restrictions have been put in place in order to conserve water.
