Ireland woke up to a frosty start of the day this morning, after a night of subzero temperatures.
The outlook for today is a bright and cold day, with plenty of winter sunshine, and temperatures barely rising above 8C.
A band of rain will come in from the Atlantic later this evening, spreading throughout the country during the night.
