One child becomes homeless in Britain every eight minutes, according to a new study conducted by Shelter, a leading charity there.
The organization has also confirmed that homelessness in the UK is now at its highest since 2006, adding that no fewer than 135,000 children will spend this Christmas in temporary accommodation.
The homeless situation is not much better in Ireland, as 10,000 people are officially listed as such, though the true figure is probably much higher. Government inaction is surely and steadily contributing to the exponential increase of homelessness here every passing day.
