Met Eireann has confirmed that a mass of tropical air will spark temperatures of up to 24C during the coming weekend.
According to the national forecaster, there is a possibility that the highest October temperatures ever recorded of 25C might be surpassed.
Many areas of the UK will see temperatures of 25-26C also.
