Met Eireann is today saying that a White Christmas is not looking likely due to a southwestern airflow during Christmas week.
According to the national forecaster, relatively milder temperatures will develop towards the latter part of the weekend, with rain also possible.
Early predictions show a return of colder weather after that, though this remains uncertain.
