Met Eireann is today saying that high pressure is building over Ireland, potentially leading to drier and more settled weather over the coming week.
According to the national forecaster, this weekend is expected to be rather wet and windy, but better conditions are likely from late Monday onwards.
Temperatures will remain fairly average for the time of year, with highs of 12-13C at best throughout the coming days.
