Met Eireann is saying that high pressure will begin building over Ireland soon, leading to warmer and more settled weather.
According to the national forecaster, Ireland will experience better weather conditions by next week, though uncertainty remains as to how long those conditions will last.
In the meantime, the country will see lower than average temperatures and heavy showers at times, with just a few bright spells.
