Met Eireann says that Ireland might see snowfalls over the coming week as freezing weather set to continue

Met Eireann is this evening warning that Ireland might see snowfalls over the coming week, as freezing weather set to continue.

According to the national forecaster, Ireland is in for a period of cold and miserable weather, with heavy showers of rain, falling as hail, sleet, and snow over higher ground around the middle of the week.

Daytime temperatures are not likely to reach double digits over the coming days, with the thermometer plunging to freezing or just below after dark.
