Met Eireann is saying that the current weekend will see temperatures rising to 19C, but things will take a turn for the worse on Monday.
According to the national forecaster, Saturday and Sunday will see rather glorious conditions, with long sunny spells and mostly dry conditions. Sunday will bring similar conditions.
But the weather is expected to change on Monday, with wet and blustery conditions and persistent, heavy rain at times.
The good news is that early predictions indicate a marked rise in temperatures as next week goes on.
