Met Eireann is saying that the weather appears likely to take a turn for the worse on New Year’s Day, as the jet stream pushes low pressure systems across the Atlantic.

By New Year’s Day, Ireland’s weather is likely to become colder again, though some uncertainty remains as to how low temperatures might go.
