Met Eireann is urging extreme caution, as Storm Atiyah has hit earlier than expected.
Strong winds began lashing Ireland on Saturday evening, with gusts of 50-65km/h at times, expected to strengthen to 110km/h today and tonight.
Authorities have said that people need to be very careful when they’re out and about and not to be near coastlines.
