Met Eireann is today warning of a second cold snap just before Christmas, but the forecast for the big day remains uncertain.
According to the national forecaster, Saturday’s weather will start off bright and mild, but light rain will spread around coastal areas later in the day.
Sunday will be a wetter day overall, but will remain relatively mild, with highest temperatures of 13C.
The outlook for Christmas Day remains uncertain, but snow appears unlikely.
