Met Eireann is today warning of another cold blast hitting Ireland in the next few days, with the possibility of sleet and snow at times.

According to the national forecaster, the weather will remain mild and unsettled until mid-week, with conditions changing from Wednesday night onwards.

The outlook for the second half of the week and into the weekend is for single-digit temperatures during the day, with wintry showers throughout, and freezing weather at night.
