Met Eireann is warning that a cold spell will begin over the next few hours, with freezing temperatures expected at nighttime.
The national forecaster is predicting that the next four days will be rather cold, but dry and settled, with little or no rain between Tuesday evening and Friday.
The thermometer is expected to drop to -1 or -2C at night though, so wrap up warm.
Early indications point to a mostly dry Saturday, but wetter weather is expected by Sunday.
