Met Eireann is this morning warning of cold weather lasting into the weekend, with the possibility of snow falls on high ground at times.
According to the national forecaster, daytime temperatures will remain in single digits for the rest of this week, dropping to below zero during the night.
The current outlook for the start of the weekend is for a cold, showery Saturday.
