Met Eireann is today warning that colder weather is on the way, with wintry showers likely over the weekend.
According to the national forecaster, Ireland will experience a period of unsettled weather over the coming days. Today, Tuesday, and tomorrow, Wednesday, are expected to be mild but breezy days. It will turn much colder from Thursday onwards though, leading to a cold and wet weekend.
Early indications point to much better conditions developing next week.
