Met Eireann warns of ‘disruptive’ weather conditions over the next 48h




Met Eireann is today warning of ‘disruptive’ weather conditions over the next 48h.

According to the national forecaster, today, Tuesday, will see a mix of showers and some bright spells at times, with widespread rain developing later in the day. Tuesday night is expected to be rather cold, with lows of just 3C possible.

Wednesday is forecast to be a very wet and windy day, as a band of heavy rain crosses the country from the east during the morning and early afternoon. Met Eireann warns of strong winds at times, with ‘damaging’ gusts, particularly around western and southern areas.

Three weather warnings will be in effect for Wednesday due to hazardous conditions.
