Met Eireann is this afternoon warning of miserable weather for the coming days, though better conditions are expected next week.
According to the national forecaster, the next few days will remain rather unsettled, with plenty rain, thunder, hailstones, and even snow at times amidst subzero temperatures.
The only good news is that high pressure is expected to build over Ireland, leading to more settled conditions towards late Sunday and into next week.
