Met Eireann warns of plenty rain and sub-zero temperatures over the coming week




Met Eireann is today warning of plenty rain and sub-zero temperatures over the coming week.

Today, Sunday, will be a cold and misty day, with temperatures reaching 12C at best.

Rain will move in across Ulster during Sunday night, giving way to a wet start of the week there. Conditions will be somewhat brighter across Munster.

The first half of Tuesday will be rather damp, but the weather will become drier as the day goes on.

Wednesday is expected to bring outbreaks of rain, becoming heavier towards evening.

The second half of the week is forecast to be rather cold, with temperatures expected to sink below freezing across most of the country.
