Met Eireann is this afternoon warning of the possibility of a washout weekend as low pressure systems approach Ireland.
According to the national forecaster, two low pressure systems might slam onto Ireland by the weekend, potentially causing heavy rain both on Saturday and Sunday.
Met Eireann is stressing that this is a long-range forecast that’s far from certain, as the high pressure currently settled over Ireland might hold the rain off.
