
Met Eireann is this afternoon warning of the possibility of snow falls on high ground today as temperatures plummet again.
According to the national forecaster, eastern and southern areas will experience the worst of the weather, with lingering mist and drizzle in parts.
Monday night is expected to be rather cold, with lows of -3C possible at times.
The outlook for the coming days is for changeable but milder weather from midweek.
