Met Eireann is today warning of the possibility of snow over the coming days as a cold front approaches the country.
According to the national forecaster, snow is likely to fall across high ground in northern and western areas as temperatures dip to -4C.
Thursday is expected to be a bitterly cold day, with widespread frost formation likely overnight.
Friday is forecast to be another cold day, with daytime temperatures remaining in single figures, and the possibility of sleet and snow showers in some areas.
