Met Eireann is this morning warning of the strong possibility of flooding over the coming hours due to heavy rainfall.
According to the national forecaster, up to 30mm of rain might fall in the space of six hours today, 80mm in some areas of high ground.
The entirety of Ireland will be under Status Yellow warning until Saturday morning.
