A number of climate experts have made dire weather predictions for Britain, saying that a fiercer Beast from the East event might blight the British Isles early in the new year.
Scientists have been monitoring sea temperatures and a weather system currently moving across northern areas of the Atlantic, and have concluded that a vortex of freezing air from the Arctic is likely to sweep over Britain in the very near future.
If this prediction comes to pass, temperatures might sink even lower than the previous time the Beast from the East paid a visit. Lows of -14C were reached in the Scottish Highlands back then.
The cold snap is far from certain at this point, but scientists are issuing a stark warning.
