A Dublin cab driver who frequently asked a female customer if she was single or lived alone and said, “You look sexy,” subjected her to “interrogation” and was forced to pay her €1,600 in restitution, reports Breaking News.
The National Transport Authority (NTA) brought charges against 39-year-old Lucas Bittencourt of Upper Dominic Street, Dublin.
He entered a guilty plea to the charge of using derogatory and vulgar remarks towards a passenger on May 14th, 2018, in Dublin, reports Breaking News.
On Monday, he appeared in Dublin District Court before Judge Anthony Halpin.
The woman reportedly waved down the cab in the city centre and requested to be taken to Northwood, Dublin 9, according to prosecution attorney Jason Teahan.
They “talked generally,” she having been in the rear seat., reports Breaking News.
