A migrant in Sweden who raped an 11-year-old girl, multiple times, will serve just two years in prison and told he will not face a lifetime ban from the country.
The non-European migrant, who is in his 20s and whose particular nationality has not been revealed, has been sentenced to three years in prison, with one suspended, and then face a 10-year ban from the Scandinavian country.
Swedish newspaper, Nyheter Idag , reports that throughout the Summer of 2018 the adult migrant sexually assaulted and raped the 11-year-old girl on numerous occasions and she fell pregnant twice during that time.
It has not been revealed if the pregnancies were taken to term, but DNA analysis revealed the migrant rapist was the father, the Swedish court heard.
Sexual and other violence assaults against women and children, as well in some cases men, have skyrocketed in recent years since the country adopted an open boarder policy allowing hundreds of thousands of migrants from the Middle East and Africa to settle in the country.
In response, Swedish police have told women and girls to reconsider their behaviour and what they wear to avoid provoking rape by migrants and have also stopped recording the nationality of criminals they arrest.
