The mild weather spell which had many of us thinking of summer is over for now as forecasters say temperatures are expected to be a lot colder this week.
According to Met Eireann, the weather outlook for the upcoming week will consist of heavy showers and sub zero temperatures overnight.
The national forecaster say there also could be some wintery showers as temperatures will reach no higher than 8C from Tuesday onwards.
Meanwhile it is expected that ground frost will hit many areas this week as temperatures are expected range between 1 to -1C overnight.
It is expected that Northern and Western regions will be slightly colder whilst it will be ever so slightly milder in the south of the country.
