The 1916 rising will be commemorated at the GPO in Dublin today.
A military service led by the president Higgins will begin at 3pm at the GPO, and will conclude with a fly-past by the Air Corps.
A ceremony at Glasnevin Cemetery in Honour of the Creators of the Tricolour and National Anthem will be held at 9.25am today.
