A military transport plane believed to be carrying over 100 people has gone missing over Burma.
The aircraft vanished from radar screens at around 1.30pm (local time), while flying over the Andaman Sea en route to Yangon, Burma’s largest city.
Weather in the area was said to be fine and calm at the time, so authorities have ruled out any adverse weather conditions as a potential factor in the incident.
A major search operation is underway.
