The French Interior Minister has called for the closure of a Mosque that allegedly shared a video that provoked the savage murder of Paris teacher Samuel Paty.
Gerald Darmanin said that the video, shared by the Grand Mosque of Pantin, carried a ‘message saying that the teacher should be intimidated’ according to RT. Paty was the subject of controversy after he showed cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad to his class to illustrate a lesson about free speech.
The world was shocked when the teacher was beheaded in suburban Paris, allegedly by an 18 year old Chechan national. The Mosque has since condemned the crime and its rector says he ‘regrets’ the video which some believe may have inspired the murderer’s brutal actions.
