There’s been uproar online from people who’ve lost their job, taken pay cuts or are getting by on the scrapping of tin thanks to Covid-19 over the comments utterly by Fine Gael’s Paschal Donohoe.
Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe has confirmed that government ministers will most certainly not take a pay cut during the pandemic.
In other words, they’re alright but let the peasants lose their jobs or take substantial pay cuts.
According to an article published by the Irish Sun, Mr. Donohoe somewhat attempted to justify this by saying ‘Over the last number of years neither I nor my colleagues have experienced any of the wage improvements that others have.’
