The Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has signed the regulation that will allow the use of Pfizer and BioNtech’s Covid-19 vaccine in Ireland.
In a tweet Donnelly said: “Delighted to report that I’ve just signed the regulation authorising the use of the Pfizer vaccine in Ireland.”
“First delivery will be St. Stephen’s Day, first vaccinations 30th December. In what’s been such a tough year for so many, this is really great to see.”
The news now means that the country’s first Covid-19 vaccines will be administered on December 30th.
