The 31-yr-old Minister for Health Simon Harris is to campaign for abortion on demand up to 3 months.
The referendum on the Eighth Amendment has been announced for May 25th with polls opening at 7am. The Eighth Amendment is the amendment that currently protects unborn Irish babies from abortion.
Both campaigns to repeal the eighth and save the Eighth Amendment have already gotten underway with the pro life campaign claiming voters would have to trust politicians to keep abortion to 3 months only if the Eighth is repealed and if you don’t trust politicians to vote no and save the Eighth Amendment.
