Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly says booster vaccines could be given out by the end of September




The Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has said that Covid-19 booster vaccines could be handed out by the end of September.

Speaking to Newstalk, the Health Minister suggested that the Government are looking into the prospect of offering a third vaccine to the elderly and vulnerable.

Donnelly said NIAC are looking into the possibility of rolling our the vaccine in conjunction with the annual flu vaccine which normally tends to begin in late September.

He added that the vaccine could also be given to frontline healthcare workers and staff working in nursing homes and long-term care facilities.
