Zappone is back on the lucrative government gravytrain, funded by Irish taxpayer as “UN Special Envoy for Freedom of Opinion and Expression”, a position that was never advertised

The Fine Gael, Fianna Fail and Green Party (FFG) coalition government cabinet appointed Catherine Zappone, to a lucrative government job, funded by taxes paid for by hard working Irish workers.

After losing her Dail seat, the failed politician and well known lesbian activist who lost her seat in the last general election, went to her native Canada where she was back “into my other home, Seattle…with family, friends and fellow Democrats I am dedicating my time to defeat Trump by electing former Veep Joe Biden…100 days out and a lot of work ahead!” According to her twitter post of 25th July 2020.

But now Ms Zappone is back in Ireland to take up her position in a newly created Irish worker funded job as our UN Special Envoy for Freedom of Opinion and Expression

According to Newstalk, this brand new position within the UN was never advertised, prompting accusations that Zappone’s appointment was akin to “jobs for the boys”.
