Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly says the spacing out of Pfizer Covid-19 vaccines is being considered

The Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has said that the idea of spacing out of each dose of the Pfizer BioNtech Covid-19 vaccine is being considered.

Speaking about the possible changes to the vaccine roll-out, Donnelly said the idea is being considered by public health officials although any official decision would be made by NIAC.

Donnelly”s comments come after the roll-out of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine was suspended pending a review by the European Medicines Agency.

Meanwhile NIAC have recommended that the AstraZeneca vaccine should only be used on those aged over 60.
