The Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has said that another lockdown on the hospitality sector cannot be fully ruled out.
Speaking in the Dail, Donnelly was seeking approval from TD’s to extend current legislation that will allow for further lockdowns if they are required.
Although Donnelly said the prospect of another lockdown is unlikely, he did suggest that legislation be extended by a further 3 months in case the situation gets worse.
Donnelly’s comments come as the current legislation is set to expire and the Health Minister is proposing the new date of January 9th.
