Minister for Justice says groups more than 12 people who protest restrictions must wear a mask or face fines, including organisers

The Minister for Justice Helen McEntee has said that people who attend protests with 12 people or more will have to wear a mask or face hefty fines.

McEntee sais that it also includes organisers of protests and that gardai would be there to enforce the fines if people don’t wear masks at protests.

The Justice Minister was interviewed on RTE this week and was questioned in relation to large protests that happened recently against the stringent lockdown restrictions.

It’s not yet known whether more protests will take place in the capital between now and December 1st when the Level 5 lockdown is due to expire.
