Ministers who fail to repay money they owe to Revenue will be denied access to their pensions, Enterprise Minister Peter Burke has stated, reports Breaking News.
Mr Burke made the remark while addressing criticism raised in the Dáil, reports Breaking News.
Ten current ministers have still not arranged a repayment plan following an accidental overpayment caused by an administrative error.
Minister Peter Burke said he is unaware of the identities of those ten ministers, reports Breaking News.
“Who said that no minister is not willing to pay this back? Who said that? That’s the reverse of your question,” he said in the Dáil.
“He did not say that no one is not willing to pay it back. And we’re very clear that anyone who does not take action here will not get their pension,” reports Breaking News.
